AJUNTAMENT DE CANET DE MAR

The Ateneu is one of the first architectonic jobs of Lluis Domènech i Montaner, in 1885. Built over an existing old house it has been the headquarters of different cultural and political groups. Now the local library, thanks to a total refurbishment of the building between 1991 and 1999. A building of moderate lines with wrought iron railings, and a big stained glass rosette in the centre where we can highlight the chamfer with the dome on the roof and the wrought iron lighting rod in the shape of a dragon.
